How do I get to the Heritage Playhouse?
We are conveniently located at the main intersection of North Road, School Road and Gibsons Way. Our street address is 662 North Road. Click here to view a google map of the area.
The Playhouse is located on the main bus route through Gibsons. Click here for more information about times, costs and schedule.
The Playhouse has a parking lot on either side of the building. Access is from North Road for the upper lot, or Gibsons Way for the lower lot. We ask that no vehicles park in the fire lane at the back of the building.
There is a bike rack located in the upper parking lot.
The Heritage Playhouse is handicap accessible and able to accommodate wheelchairs. It is equipped with ramps, a handicap washroom and designated parking on the North Road side of the building. Our helpful volunteers are happy to assist you and the front row is always kept available for those who are unable to traverse the stairs.
Guide and Companion Dogs
Guide and medically required companion dogs are welcome in the Playhouse.
How do I get tickets?
We are primarily a rental facility and therefore do not sell tickets in advance. Each rental takes care of their own ticket sales. Venues vary and are added to our events calendar once we receive the information. Visit our events calendar for more information.
When should I arrive?
The doors to the Playhouse open 30 minutes before the show starts unless otherwise noted on an events promo materials.
Can I get food or drink at the Heritage Playhouse?
Not all events book an intermission. If there is an intermission we sell Wheatberries Bakery goodies (which they kindly donate to us to assist with raising funds) along with fresh ground organic coffee, assorted teas, and cold drinks. Some events may also provide a liquor license and sell beer and wine.
All foods and drinks, with the exception of water (sparkling or plain), must be consumed in the lobby prior to entering the auditorium seating area.
Latecomers and Re-admission
The Director of each production designates moments in the show when the seating of latecomers will cause the least amount of distraction for actors and audience members. Should you leave the Playhouse, the Front of House will reseat you during one of these breaks.
Perfume and Cologne
Please refrain from using perfume and cologne when you come to the theatre. Some of our patrons are highly allergic to scents.
No cameras or recording devices are permitted in the playhouse without the consent of the performance Director.
