Host of CBC’s Quirks and Quarks, Bob McDonald appears in person for an afternoon of inspiring storytelling, based on his new memoir, “Just Say Yes.”

For five decades, Bob McDonald has been one of science journalism’s most revered and recognizable names as the host of CBC Radio’s award-winning science program and the author of six bestselling science books. In his most recent book, Just Say Yes, McDonald shares a more personal story – his own.

Drawing from his memoir in this inspirational live event, McDonald brings readers right back to the beginning – his childhood in Orillia, growing up in a low-income family plagued by alcoholism – and shares powerful insights on how he learned to overcome his fear of failure, imposter syndrome, and life-transforming challenges, including childhood abuse, and find the courage to leap into every opportunity that came his way.
