ANY LUCK?
by Peter Hill.

Admission by donation at the door.

A play about beer, sexuality and fishing.

ANY LUCK? takes place in the little fishing community of Fishwood. The Coastal characters that live there get by on fishing and happy hour. That is, until their lives are disrupted by two women who arrive by sailboat from the big city. It’s a tale of love and beer as Coastal characters clash with the new residents who have arrived straight from Whole Foods.

Featuring Tara Blascoe, Varya Rubin, Pam Girone, Mac Dodge, Steve Schwabl, Roger Meloche and Kris Fleerackers.

Peter Hill taught high school English in Vancouver for thirty years, and he then taught English Education at UBC for ten years. His doctoral thesis was on creative writing in the high school classroom. Peter has lived in Gibsons for 6 years, and he also played guitar with Off the Page founder David King in the duo Foolish Man. Peter’s play, ‘The Chinese Student,’ was read by Off The Page in December 2021. Peter is slowly trying to become a recreational fisherman.
