Home is a hilarious play about three seniors who decide to take the law into their own hands. After she is the victim of a home invasion, Dorothy is temporarily housed in an assisted living facility, where she meets Joan and Irene. When the three women attempt to exact justice on the thief, their scheme has unexpected results.
Home is a fast paced, comedy about seniors taking control of their lives and demanding justice. Written by Melody Anderson, Home was the 2023 winner of the David King prize for comedy.

MELODY ANDERSON:   After making over three thousand masks for over fifty productions (including The Number 14),  Melody shifted her creative focus to playwriting. Her first play, The Emperor’s New Threads, toured Canada for Axis Theatre.
Her play Me and You, which follows the relationship of two sisters over the course of a lifetime (employing masks to represent the aging process), was supported in its development by Wet Ink Collective and premiered at the Arts Club Theatre in Vancouver in 2018.
Her play Ditto, a wry exploration of the ramifications of unbridled reproductive technology, received an Off the Page reading in 2020. Melody is a recipient of six Jessie Richardson awards and five nominations for both design and collective creation.  She lives in Vancouver, B.C. with performer/playwright/poet, Peter Anderson, on the unceded ancestral land of the Coast Salish People.
Melody would like to thank the David King family, Touchstone Theatre, Caravan Farm Theatre and Off the Page for their support in the development of Home.
